This combo is designed with the growing horses in mind but has come in handy for all of our clients with narrow or hard to fit horses!
Just like people, all horses are built different! that’s where our unique design comes into play!
The Velcro adjusting system that we’ve designed and fitted to the chest of the rug allows a fully customizable fit to your horses specific needs.
This design was born out of frustration from one of our local breeders/Trainers in the area. She found that with all her young and still developing horses she was trying to prep for show season, because they had not yet grown up in the withers, rugs were sliding about and causing rub marks in the chest – Certainly not ideal for show horses But still an all too common problem in the World, Not just Australia.
A simple fix to the problem was generally a sewn in shoulder dart – However this fix is not without its flaws. Once the horse grows, the darts need to be unpicked and removed and often then the rug is back to being too big in the chest until the horses next growth spurt. This is also a pain considering we all know how quickly young horses grow and change shape!
Often clients would like to buy up a size to make the rug fit the horse longer but found when they went bigger, rub marks were back in play. GRRRR Frustrating right?!?!
NOT ANYMORE!
Buy up a size, make the chest smaller to fit! SIMPLE!
- Once the chest has been adjusted to suit your individual horse, the rug cant slide back into a position that puts all pressure onto the points of the shoulders causing rubbing.
- You can let the chest out as needed in small increments to avoid any incorrect fitting
- You can now buy every second size on the way up and avoid the need to purchase quite so many rugs for your growing babies.

NOW, we didn’t just sit down and think this MIGHT be a good idea. We’ve spent two years designing and industry testing this on the young breakers and growing horses of many of our local trainers and breeders – All giving it the thumbs up!
We even tested this on our 26year old TB Gelding who has shrunk with age and started to fall in-between rug sizes – Another problem solved!
